Waiting to be trodden on
JJ route-marched me round the block this morning and nearly trod on his rather large toadstool growing on the edge of the path. There is a huge amount of debris on the ground and the acorns are still proving to be a skid hazard.
I have spent a bit of time turning up JJ's new walking trousers. One leg done and another to do. I do find hand sewing quite therapeutic.
Our elder grandson age 11 has had to have a Covid test because one of his football team members has tested positive. He had the test yesterday and a negative result back this morning, so some places are managing tests well.
However, when our son told his company what the situation was they told him if he didn't go into work he wouldn't be paid, so he went to work, was sent home and was told they would pay him after all. It's no wonder rates are rising if companies won't pay them to self-isolate.
