Up the Clouds

A flying visit to Cumbria today to mark 6 years since dad died. I could probably have stayed a couple of days but by the time I realised the restrictions would probably, strictly speaking, allow mum and me to stay together as we'd be in England, it was a bit short notice. And since we'd both just come from Scotland where it wouldn't be allowed, I think it wouldn't have felt quite right anyway.

So, I popped down to Ravenstonedale for a day. We drove (separately!) to Barbon for lunch at the Churchmouse (recommended) and then went for a walk up the "Clouds" from Stennerskeugh to Fell End. Glorious autumn day. Then home in the dark.
