Slaley Hall

Took Kilda for a walk in the gardens this morning as I had the day off. IB had organised a golf trip at Slaley Hall near Newcastle. We were due to play 18 holes today and then stay over night to play the other course tomorrow. Had to head down there in our own cars as Nippy had introduced the no car sharing rule on Tuesday. Arrive just after IB and had a pint while we waited for this mate to turn up. Had enough time to have some lunch before heading out to play the Hunting course. We had a couple of light rain showers but not much. Once we had got the 4 ball in buggies from behind us we have a great afternoon. Played to my handicap on a much longer course so was please. Even better was taking money off two Irishmen for the match play competition between us and beating IB to the nearest the pin by around a yard. Nice dinner which had to be cut short at 9.30 to be out of the restaurant for 10 due to the new Covid rules. Bit of a shame but a nice day away. J took Kilda for a walk in the gardens this evening and apparently she managed to catch a lame pigeon and kill it. She then proceeded to eat it and not come back to J and ignore her. She also had a go at another dog that tried to pinch it. Little sod.
