Misty morning

Lovely misty morning on the golf course today while we walked the dogs. Had a half day as we were having lunch with J’s parents to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary. We did notice the long queues at the petrol station when we left but as we were running late, we didn’t stop as we weren’t expecting the madness that descended on the country. Left the dogs at J’s parents while we had a very nice steak lunch. Headed out around 5.30 to try and find some fuel to get home with but, after trying 6 petrol stations, which were all out of fuel, we headed home. On a good note my complaints were upheld by the insurance company and we were awarded some compensation, which will cover the excess on the car repairs. Also had a pleasant surprise on the offer for dad’s scrapped car, which we have accepted. Spent the night in watching the Ryder cup, which wasn’t great watching from a European point of view.
