Goodbye Simon

The “gathering” for our village friend Simon was held today. His wife Kathy didn’t want a funeral or wake or anything, but agreed to a gathering.

Simon was a popular and respected part of the whole DB community and there really was a wonderful outpouring of love and fond memories by friends who attended.

We (our village people) all gathered at our playground downstairs and the lads had whiskey that Kathy had brought down, Simon’s favourite. It was lovely to be united in our grief for this amazing man who has left big shoes to fill for our DB community.
