Once more into the breech ....

The weather was dreich today and so I'd run out of excuses  to make my annual batch of apple and rosehip jelly and so I put on my apron and got on with it. 

I also made bread today - both involve science in action as chemical reactions take effect. The nature of the dough changes until it is ready to be left to prove.  Likewise  the nature of the boiling of the juice and sugar changes suggesting the time has come to test the setting capacity of the jelly by dropping and spoonful on a cold plate.  It was sticky and didn't drip when I turned plate upside down so fingers crossed.
