Heartwarming

Heartwarming and also feetwarming.

At the start of lockdown I did something to the app that controls our underfloor heating at the back of the house. It didn’t matter in spring and by the time summer came around I’d worked out how to manage the temperature manually in all but the room we sit in!

So several phone calls later and lots of patient telephone advice I have now mastered both the controls and, myself, worked out how to reset the app and link everything up. The sense of achievement was great and just in time as the overnight temperature drops towards 0oC.

Out this evening to meet up with an Indian friend. She is a former colleague of my wife’s and is now a consultant in children’s dentistry in Manchester. She is up on business in Edinburgh and we met up for a meal at the ever excellent Mother India. While our friend has been working hard throughout lockdown, this was her first meal out since loackdown. A lovely time was had by all.

Just as we got back home one of our nephews phoned in from the States to announce that he and his lovely girlfriend had just got engaged. Definitely heartwarming!
