Spent the whole of the work day on Zoom interviewing candidates from the disabled internship programme We Can Work to help us with a big conference. We met five hire-able young people who have been discriminated due to their disability. Four of them could do the job we need doing - it’s great to have tough decisions like that. 

Less than half as many disabled people are employed compared to non-disabled people. All UK employers are required by law to provide reasonable adjustments to disabled employees and this group merely need to work largely from home. The pandemic is levelling the field for some disabled people and I hope we don’t forget how many of us work very effectively from home. 

It was good to get some fresh air with the dawg after a day tied to my desk.
