Heronry at Middleton Lakes

Wonderful morning. I set off to Middleton Lakes, knowing that it would be muddy. It was. But it was worth it.

The light was perfect.
But the Heronry was pure delight. Lots of them nesting, coming in to land, feeding the young. I wish I were a better photographer, but I had plenty of practice this morning.
