Road Trip First Day
We had a pleasant, leisurely drive north to Wenatchee, Washington - mostly off the big interstate highway. The scenery was amazing - ranging from elevations of 4500 feet in the Cascades past the foothills of Mt. Rainer to more arid, hilly lands except right along the rivers (Yakima, Cowlitz and Wenatchee) which we followed much of the way. Tonight we find ourselves in Wenatchee which professes to be the apple capital of the world! There are apple trees literally everywhere you look and many of the trees are being actively harvested. I can smell apples in the air!!
This is a not so great but interesting shot of an apple orchard and if you look closely you’ll see that it’s being watered from that post on the right hand side.
