Red Tree in a Field

This scene made me stop by the side of the road on my way to shopping. The lone tree in a corn field caught my eye. I assume it is a red maple with a long thin cloud hanging over it. The hill behind is showing a good stage of colour leaf change... not yet fully climaxed.
I have always thought that clouds are born in these Catskill Mountain valleys. Or so it seems to me.
