Breakthrough

It's two months since the kittens came to live with us, and Chaiyya has always been afraid of the stairs (or rather the gaps between them), so we carried her up and down several times per day.

I spent much of last Sunday cutting cardboard boxes into strips and closing the gaps between all the steps.

Today, Chaiyya managed to climb the staircase on her own for the very first time.

Definitely the best moment of today. The rest of it was spent working and driving into the city center for an appointment - on a day the bus drivers went on strike and the entire city turned into a solid traffic jam.
