In fact, all three cats kept me company for most of the day.

My mother's carer went to visit her, so I stayed away. Only one visitor per patient and day is allowed in the hospital. But I talked to her physician and he hopes she can go home on Friday. Fingers crossed!

Whatever happens, I will need to work overtime for the rest of the week including the weekend. Deadlines are deadlines, and a mother in hospital doesn't change them.
