ama interns

today our first ever school mission interns graduated. amazing.

when i think back on my time with school mission, these interns are without a doubt my absolute highlight.

i remember when we first all got together a year ago, not really knowing how the whole intern thing was going to turn out. it was an experiment for us and for sure, there are times when it definitely felt that way! but these interns, individually as well as collectively, blew us away with their awesomeness. always ready to take on any challenge we gave them and excelling at talents that they didn't know they had. for me it was ace to feel such confidence in their characters, i knew that wherever i took them and whoever i introduced them to, they would represent us excellently. and everyone who has come into contact with them can't help but love them too.

in terms of leaving zambia, these guys make the whole thing so much easier. of course, i will miss them massively, but i know that these 7 young people will have an impact on their nation more than i ever could.

ama interns, i love you all and i am super proud of you.

(i'm taking a break from my normal blipping routine and from now until i leave i will be posting portraits of the people that i love here in zambia. i might put them all together at the end to make a mammoth picture to hang on my wall, but mostly they will stay here on blip so i can remember these lovely people).
