anitha

this is anitha with baby signa. this lucky little baby has three names: one english, one danish and one bemba. brilliant.

great to catch up with anitha today but i was mostly jealous as she filled me in about the masters course she has just started, studying african culture, religion and politics. it sounds fascinating and i managed to steal her reading list which i can't wait to get into.

i met anitha at the same NGO where i met teresa, 3 years ago. over the years we have bonded over interesting church experiences that i'm sure will make it into her masters thesis! anitha already has a masters relating to tropical medicine so she is brilliantly placed to be serving in zambia. these days she can be found working alongside her husband and their NGO and it's going to be cool to hear how her programmes to empower women take off over the next few years.

along with all of the other people i've written about, it's anitha's love for the Lord that motivates her to do what she does. inspirational.

(i'm taking a break from my normal blipping routine and from now until i leave i will be posting portraits of the people that i love here in zambia. i might put them all together at the end to make a mammoth picture to hang on my wall, but mostly they will stay here on blip so i can remember these lovely people).
