Minute.....

.....and inconspicuous, tiny red flowers requiring a long lens or a very long ladder, found on tall (25m) New Zealand native Black Beech trees.

At ground level a tinge of red can be seen towards the ends of branches, as sunlight captures them, like tiny raspberries sitting among green foliage, a beautiful sight which can easily be missed if not looking up.

My link wouldn't work to a previous blip in 2013 of a macro shot of these beautiful minute flowers so I've added the shot as an extra. I didn't have a long ladder today to capture a macro :)

Warm thanks to Anni for hosting Flower Friday :)

Friday.....Daughter E and I went exploring at Ashley Gorge and Mt Thomas forest, calm and warm in these spots, cool and breezy, 13C, at home.

Enjoy the weekend everyone, happy Friday :)
