Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2020 Tuesday — It’s Lavender!

Today we left the house sometime between 1:00 and 1:30. Our first stop was the post office. We had a big envelope of important papers that already had the postage on it and Mr. Fun wanted to check that it was correct. So into the post office he went.

As he came out and headed toward our car, a car pulled-up and instantly four people were laughing, smiling and chatting at us. Four people that we know from our community in SoCal. It was absolutely crazy fun. They had all spent the night at an AirBnB in Paseo Robles. They drove to Cayucos to visit the “Brown Butter Cookie Company,” which is near the post office. What are the chances of bumping into four people we know from SoCal?

Before we all left the post office area, we took a photo of all of us; unfortunately all those photos are on Ted’s phone. I’m hoping to soon get the photo from him and then use it here on this Blip.

So we told the 4 of them we were about to head out to go to Jack Creek Farm up on Hwy.#46. But we asked if they would like to come see our little house and they were a quick “Yes!”

So even though the house was not gussied-up to have visitors, at least the bed was made and the mess from breakfast was cleaned-up. But it felt a little crazy to be “showing” our little house to someone who has never seen it.

Ted & Fayanna and Bruce & Tammi were quite expressive in their like of what we have done with this little fixer-upper. And like everyone, including us, they were amazed at the view!
