Late Lunch

Mrs BR and I like to take a late lunch in our favourite restaurant in St Peter Port occasionally. They serve all day until 6pm, but after about 2:30 pm it becomes very quiet and that is often the time we go.
Today we enjoyed seared scallops cooked and served with a beautiful sauce and basmati rice. Lovely light meal but after which we don't feel that we wish to eat supper.
We wandered through the town and bought a card for a friend who has just been awarded a BEM for her services. She is such a lovely person, it is very well deserved. Town was beautiful in the sunlight and the summer bunting was still looking fresh and colourful. We noticed that the Christmas lights were beginning to appear too. It takes a long time to put them all up because I believe the team only do that on Sunday mornings.
