Sunday afternoon
The sunshine was again welcome and we walked across the road to see the east coast cliffs. The views were glorious. Much better than the photograph shows, the visibility was amazing. The castle and lighthouse are ones we have blipped many times and can be seen in the distance. We also watched the sun seeker boat coming into Fermain bay.
We collected some cane that grows in the garden and took it to our sons house. He is making a bug hotel and amongst other things he is using some large pieces of cane. He has some old pine trees in his garden and the cones that fall have also been used.
The older tortoises are slowing down and we think soon they will want to hibernate. Not having experienced that before we have been gathering information. The five hatchlings are of course under a heat and sun lamp and will not hibernate this year.
