South Ridge Trail

W. and I hiked from the parking lot at Sky Meadows to the intersection with the AT today. The South Ridge trail had some steepness, and was longer, but was not as rough as the North Ridge we took a few weeks ago. Gorgeous colors and lots of folks about enjoying the first day of the long weekend and the last day before Storm Delta’s rain sets in.

But my knees are not pleased!

On the way home we stopped at the Hunter’s Head Tavern for some carry out and took it on to the Old Ox brewery in Middleburg. An all-around picturesque day. Back home, continued discussions and uncertainty about college applications.
