Mr hazelh's birthday 'tea'

The main event of the day was Mr hazelh's birthday 'tea' (AKA fizz and wine). Initially we only invited Katharine and Jack, but in the end Paddy and Caitlin also came into the shared garden and joined us. Just out of shot was another family, also celebrating a birthday. We all kept our distance from one another, as advised.

In other news today: the steps up to our levelled lawn-to-be in the back garden have been installed; I baked a birthday cake and cookies for the tea party; I paid £3 for an item in a charity shop which I see is currently for sale for $488 on a US web site (no doubt to be blipped in the next couple of days).

Exercise today: 12 mile bike ride.
