Friday used to be my favourite day, the start of the weekend, cooked breakfast, rugby on the Saturday, time with Clare or maybe travel to visit the children and or family.

Sadly the days just seem to have a bit of downbeat repetitiveness about them a sign of the times is that the highlight of a day can be a shopping trip!!

We are planning our trip to visit Joshua for his birthday in early December and there is already great excitement that we will 'take in' Loch Ness on the way. Having sailed Fort William to Inverness twice in my time in the RN I am hoping to include brief visits to the Glencoe and Culloden sites on the way to Forres where Joshua is based. This will all be lockdown dependant but here's hoping.
