Escanaba in da Sunlight

My friend Steve and I decided to chase the sunrise while staying in Escanaba, Michigan. We took his doggie Raven, but left the ladies in the hotel room.

The sun did rise, and here it is back-lighting the Sand Point lighthouse.

The title is a play on the 2001 movie Escanaba in da Moonlight, set in Michigan's upper peninsula. It was directed (and starred in) by one of our own...Jeff Daniels.
