Sleeeepy
When I ask Bella May if she's sleeeepy she looks at me and yawns. Of course I taught her to do that as well as teaching he road sense. I stop at the kerb and say, 'Any cars coming?' She then looks to the right and if it's clear I say 'No car?' She then steps off the kerb.
Not much else to report today.
Inktober prompt today was 'Dune' so I drew - from memory Formby dunes but with old (real) Christmas trees stuck in the sand to stabilise the shifting sands. Local people had donated them for the purpose.
As kids in Liverpool, we often had a drive out with Mum and Dad to Formby beach to walk in the pinewoods and see the squirrels, then play on the beach. Happy memories.
Covid is getting scary again. When I hear that the PM didn't act on the SAGE advice 3 weeks ago it makes me angry.
If only everyone would work together, follow the rules - proper wearing of masks, social distancing, thorough hand washing etc. I saw a woman in Morrisons toilets just giving her hands a quick rinse without soap the other day. I see so many with masks only covering the mouth and some masks just a single layer of stretchy fabric. Do these people not realise that the virus is so minute it cannot be seen except with a microscope. It can easily get through a single layer of fabric and even a double layer.
This is serious, people are still grieving for lives lost at the start of lockdown and more lives will be lost, more families will lose loved ones.
From a selfish point of view, I'm just desperate to see our grandchildren at Christmas - if not before.
