That time of year

My hubby has a thing about lights and in the winter he puts them in the garden to make it look nice. Over the Christmas period he will put lights in every room. When I walked into the house this evening he had put one of the lanterns on the stairs, no doubt the garden ones will come out of the garage soon.
Had a senior moment as they say when baking a cake this morning. Put the cake in the oven and started clearing away only to find the pan on the hob with the melted butter in it, should have been in the cake. Got it out mixed in the butter and stuck it back in, hubby said it was OK.
