Knowing it was going to rain all day we decided to do some major shopping. This involves a visit to the Birsta retail park, otherwise known as "The Temple of Mammon".
We started with lunch at the Rotunda Cafe, a cheap and cheeerful place where they serve an excellent buffet lunch for around £10. What makes this place special is that the buffet is half traditional Swedish food and half Indian food. Each half buffet gives an ample choice so if you just want Indian food there's plenty, and likewise if you prefer the Swedish lunch. I always take this chance to eat Indian food because there are no Indian restaurants in Härnösand.
Strengthened by a good lunch we worked our way around the different shops slowly filling the car. Towards the end of the day we were flagging a little so we took a cup of coffee and a cake in a certain well-known Swedish furniture store.
It rained all the way home and we left most of the stuff in the car, hoping for better weather the next day.
