Gosford

Sadly on the way to Gosford today we saw a tractor on the Longniddry Bents taking the carcass of a stranded whale off the beach. This whale had become in tangled in fishing line and suffered a painful death - so very sad to see.

Our mood was lifted considerably as we toured the grounds of Gosford house with a wonderful array of autumn colour reflected in the lakes of the pleasure grounds with swans and herons for company.

The day began with long distance reading with our Gloucestershire grandchild and ended with a virtual meeting with our street residents’ group.

The pandemic news makes increasingly uncomfortable reading and watching.
