Elfy & Duck

As Elfy, peacefully rests I try to tease her with a rubber duck which was a gift from a collector of rubber ducks.
Elfy isn't amused, she goes back to her slumber as quickly as she came.
The light cascades though the large windows of my apartment and I wonder how she sleeps in such light, it has never been possible for me to sleep in such light.
I crawl back into bed after my breakfast shift, tired from the cycle home.
She doesn't stir as I get comfortable, it's been such a nice morning I think. The hot light of the sun pours in and I welcome some rest, not able to sleep but comfortable in bed.
She hear's the sound of mail being posted, her head lifts but still doesn't disturb her, she's here for the day.
Having already worked 5 hours and knowing soon I have to do another 5, I'm struck with envy. You have such a easy life Elfy.
