Stenness Seal
One of three harbour seals on the usual perches in the Loch of Stenness near the Stones of Stenness. Everything was a bit far off today, like the seals, and the snipe in the extra. It was only when I got home that I realised there were two snipe and not just a single bird. Also seen was a yellow-browed warbler, a migrant possibly from as far as Siberia, blown westward on its migration south. I've seen a few this autumn but this was the first for this 'patch'.
