Brough of Birsay Rainbow
A nice walk today in spite of frequent showers. The brisk northerly kept the showers moving through so it was easy enough to dodge the worst by looking ahead and finding a nook. A male hen harrier rose from nearby in a field but was too quick for a photo. Also of note were a couple of bonxies- they're nearly all gone for the winter and a single wheatear, possibly a Greenland bird en route south . The extra is of another rainbow, more dark and grim on top of Marwick Head.
