Coastal Celebration
A very early start to the day. We had arranged to pick up neighbour Bill so he could get his car which had been stranded like ours because of the road being blocked. We had to take two vehicles into the city because the car was booked for a service and we needed to do lots of other things, so G drove the truck and I drove the car. We dropped off the car and headed out in the truck. We got everything done in good time, including G's medical lab tests. The car was ready when we got back. There hadn't been time to have anything to eat, so we made a quick stop to pick up sandwiches then drove to the ferry. I was glad to be home before dark, and we got everything unpacked and put away before having a light supper.
This was the first time we've been into the city in months. The traffic on the highway was just like pre-Covid traffic but it got a bit lighter in the city. The stores we had to go to were super busy, some people wearing masks, most conscious of social distancing. I found it all quite stressful. We're stocked up for a few months now because it might be awhile before we go back!
This is part of one of the newer ferries that travels between Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island and Tsawwassen on the mainland. Haven't been on one of the big ferries for months. Our little ferry was parked beside this one.
