Out for lunch

I had my second cup of coffee outside on the balcony this morning, just after sunrise the trees are at the best with the sunlight catching them and exaggerating the colours, never very extravagant, most of the trees seem to go a dull shade of green and then disappear. It will be interesting to compare what it looks like on the first of November.
The sunshine continued until we all sat down for lunch in the Pollok Park outdoor café, always full of mostly well behaved
ed dogs. It is rare for M and L to have a day off together, so it was good to catch up and hear, amongst other news, about Islay’s first swim across the Gruinard River, on the trail of a deer. In the blip she is distracted by wasp watching, and catching. There seems to be a lot of them  about, reminding me of Greece at this time of year and the hordes of harmless wasps, drunk and woozy on grape sugar. Ah well.
