Chips on the pier!

Home after a long drive via Cambridge where we stopped off to spend an hour chatting to Jon's mum and dad. The roads were very busy and in particular the stretch from Cambridge home, through Swaffham was at a standstill in parts.

We drove straight to East Runton where we park our caravan, then emptied the things to take back home with us into the car. Home at about 5.45 where Mollie was waiting with a cup of tea.

Then the 4 of us piled back into the car and drove down to Cromer where we got fish and chips at Mary Janes, and took it down to the pier to eat it. The tide was really high and crashing up over the wall. I love standing to watch it when it is crashing like this, but trying to get a photo was another matter! I've added my best shot in extras.

Nice to be home. Mollie has kept the house nice and tidy and washing all done. So just a quick shopping trip to Lidl for me tomorrow.

Tonight, I should have been at The Albert Hall watching Cliff Richard in his 80th birthday tour. Sadly, it has been postponed for a year - instead the family are being subjected to Summer Holiday on tv.... good old Cliff!
