When will this ever end???
Soooooo......................... yesterday our half term booking cancelled at about 8.30am...............
For those of you who don't follow our BLIPS and haven't a clue what we're talking about............ Ann owns a very lovely property in St Ives, Cornwall and we are living in it at the moment. Our house is fabulous. Check it out here.
Anyway, my very lovely owner, Ann, thought, 'whoopeee doo'. We'll just stay in Cornwall for a bit longer, (because all Ann's friends from Edinburgh have been messaging/texting/phoning her to say; 'don't come back'.) …................As a single person in Scotland nobody has a life. Nobody can see anyone, nobody can go anywhere, all the pubs and restaurants are closed. All anyone can do in Scotland is go for a walk with one person OK one household but Ann only has 'single' friends, which to be honest is probably not going to be very enjoyable now that the mornings/nights are drawing in????
Here in St Ives (in the English 3 tier system) we are the lowest of the low. And to be honest the last couple of weeks that we've spent in St Ives have almost been like what we'd normally be doing here. Walk the dog, go out with friends to eat and drink with up to 6 people!!!!
Apart from wearing a mask, life really does, for us, feel pretty much like normal????

We have seen sooooooo many friends. It's been lovely. Obviously we haven't broken the '6 household rule', but tbh, Ann doesn't normally go out with more than 6 people anyway.
Anyway to get back to today. We met our friend Tess on the beach at Watergate Bay. Had an lovely walk. And then when we got home I had to have 'home alone' snooze time because Ann went off down the Pool Club for an afternoon of drinking???? I think she's just trying to make the most of meeting as many people as she can before we get locked down again?
It's really difficult to know what to do? Unfortunately Ann wasn't quick enough to block our St Ives house off to ourselves when the cancellation came through so it's now been booked again. So it looks like we'll be heading back to Edinburgh on the 23rd October.
….................Who would ever have thought that the 3 week lock down in March would have led to this.????
