It passed!

Now I'm allowed out into the world again, we went to pick up Ali's car after it's MOT, it had passed, which, for a 2006 Golf Plus we thought was pretty good. I always think it's good sign when a garage is working on cars even older than ours though. This beauty is older than me, it's a1953 Ford Popular which is being lovingly restored by the garage owner. It's looking pretty good. I was so taken with the car that I didn't even notice the old Triumph motor cycle next to it (see extra for the colour version) which is in near pristine conditon too. Talk about a labour of love!
Thank you all for your kind messages yesterday. All feels good today and I'm trying to avoid fiddling about with the dressing so it stays put for as long as possible.
Today is Ali's birthday, so we dropped the car off along with some socially distanced pressies. Fortunately it was dry so we were all able to sit in the garden with a cup of tea, while she opened them. Hazelh you'll not be surprised to hear that the Mah Jong set went down well.

Keep well and safe everybody school holidays now and the children are going to be so restricted.
