Our view this morning from St Ives . Originally we were due to go on holiday with a group of uni friends to Majorca , but like so much it had to be cancelled . 
My brother and his wife have a lovely penthouse apartment with a sea view where we are staying . They were going to come to but given the restrictions they will come down at a later date . 
The news from up north makes grim reading . Eight of the wards in Blackburn, including ours , have been under greater restrictions than elsewhere because there had been clusters of Covid cases. The extra measures did not make a difference and I’m not sure if this their system will either . If only the test , track and trace system ;that the public purse has funded so generously, could be made to work ! I think it’s the only way out of this situation . Oh and of course proper funding for the health service . Oh and decent wages for those care workers on low incomes . I could go on and on and On !
