At the cutting edge of life!

How amazing it is to watch a chick emerge from its shell . The first gasping  breaths and lumbering steps and you wonder how they ever survive the hatching process. Within half an hour the feathers have dried and the art of walking has been mastered. Amazing.

We had a very good hatch rate too.  From 12 eggs we have 11 chicks. See extra for their home in our back kitchen! Pip is having a complete melt down as she views them as a tasty little snack!!

Mr Tbay has complete the basic frame to ‘chicktopia’ which has nearly killed him!! A very tired and sore Mr Tbay this evening. But what a super job he has done!!
