Last day of summer

It's strictly autumn, I know, but for my friend M and I, this was the last day of summer. And we took full advantage, driving over to Holkham in Norfolk for a lovely day by the sea,
It was warm and the sky was so blue and plenty of people were out walking along the beach towards Wells. Many had dogs which just loved splashing through the shallow water.
When it got too hot, we strolled through the pine forest and then came home via Burnham Market. Coffee and delicious scones in a secluded courtyard put the seal on a perfect day.
