What a clever collie pup
This morning we went to the 'Balcony Bar' to meet our friend Heather (and her little Cavapoo) for breakfast. I was a bit silly. I kept jumping up at Heather because I thought she might give me some little titbits. She didn't. Boooohooo!!! Though Ann did give me her last little bit of sausage. Yum.
After breakfast we went for a walk along 'Porthmeor Beach' and I found a stick. Actually it wasn't a stick. It was a seaweed stalk but it looked like a stick. I carried it all the way along the beach and then when I realised that Ann was going up the steps to go home; do you want to know what I did?............. I dug a big deep hole and put my stick in and then I covered it all up so that nobody would know where my stick was. How amazing is that? And then I went zooming back to Ann to be put back on my lead. How good was I??
Obviously everyone knows that 'traditionally' dogs bury their bones but Ann has never, ever, seen a dog do this. I was pretty clever. I just seemed to know exactly how deep I had to dig to bury my stick and then I pushed loads of sand on top so that no one would know where my stick was.
Unfortunately Ann was so busy watching me do this, that she forgot to BLIP me, so that is why you've got a photo of me playing with my ball on Hayle Beach this afternoon.
Anyway Ann is going to take me back to the beach tomorrow morning for a play. It will be really interesting to see if I remember where I have buried my stick and also to see if I dig it up!!!
