Mess

Decided I should make the Christmas cake. Had been going to let the fruit soak a bit longer but changed my mind, gave it a last good shot of brandy, then got going. For such a simple cake it takes a lot of bowls and leaves a lot of washing up but as it has to bake for four and half hours there’s plenty time to clear up the mess. The end result is the Extra. Looks pretty good and the house smells great. Just needs a bit more booze fed into it now and it can be packed away. Same goes for me.
