Miami

I got up early so that I could finish packing. Hubby drove to Tesco to get some passport pictures (for his international driving licence).
We had decided to go to the airport by bus. Hubby dropped us off at the bus stop and then drove the car back home. He then walked back to the bus stop. It didn't take long to get to the airport.
We took our big cool box on wheels with us ( which had to be my son's suitcase). The kids christened it 'the fridge'. At check in, we were told to take the fridge to the man who collected awkward shaped items. He told the kids that the fridge was a first !
Our flight was at 12.45 and it took just over 9 hours to get to Miami. We had seats in the upper deck and it was really nice up there (economy seats).
Upon arrival at Miami, we were all quite tired and the immigration line was quite long. We finally got through, picked up our bags and caught the shuttle bus to our hotel (Days Inn airport hotel).
We dropped our bags in the room and went to the bar for some food. By the time we got back to the room, there was a rollaway bed for my son. Within minutes of putting their heads on the pillow, the kids were asleep.
