A Nesting Estate...

...or a Tennement for birds?

I find something about this incredibly creepy! I know its just a tree full of nests but for some reason the look of it spooks me and gives me shivers! It must be the starkness of the tree without leaves, but theres something about those knotty nests makes me uncomfortable. Yet I can't stop looking at them, I'm fascinated, and there are loads of trees just like this around here just now.

Had a day trip with the folks today, antiques at Auldearn (its a treasure trove, I took a ton of pictures but the creepy tree won out today!), Brodie for the most delicious tea and scones , with jam (yummmmmm! soup for the rest of the week to try and claw back those weightwatchers points...), wee jewellery shop just outside Fochabers where I was naughty and treated myself (its called the 'Maple' and well worth a visit if you are in the vicinity, tiny but crammed, really lovely) and finally a wander around Just Art Gallery which is always really good and makes me most jealous of these talented people :O)

Shattered now but it was a really nice day, and it was sunny!!! Finally some good weather. I go back to Edinburgh tomorrow and as always its poured down almost the entire time I've been here, LOL, so it was nice to be able to take sunny photos on at least one day!
