Moving: Day 2

A full complement of removers turned up today and they managed to get everything packed and away by early afternoon.  We had the car packed to the gunnels with things for the tip so turned up for our appointment there at 3.15pm.  Rather ominously, the man on the gate was looking up and down his list for our car registration number which is needed as part of their appointment system.  After a bit of discussion it became clear I’d booked my appointment for yesterday, not today, but after a little bit of persuasion he let us in, albeit without a smile.

The photo is of our lounge; we’ll be sitting on the floor watching that TV leaning against the wall this evening, and sleeping on the blow-up bed in an otherwise empty bedroom.  Hopefully we’ll be back in Norfolk tomorrow, but we still have a few loose ends to tie up here.
