Over the border....
Scotland day one.
... at last. The day started pretty well, it was cold and dry when we set off but by the time we got to Teeside the skies were black and then the heavens opened. Further north it started to brighten up a bit, we did our usual stop over at the England Scotland border boy was it cold up there. Driving through the border town of Jedburgh the autumn colours were fabulous (draw back of towing a caravan you can’t just stop) so will visit later. We arrive in Melrose where we will stay for the next three nights. After parking up the caravan we headed out for a walk along the side of the abbey, It was beautifully illuminated , I will post a picture tomorrow if we can get WiFi...
Lying in bed now and the rain is pouring down. Wish I’d bought some earplugs.
Thank you all for your kindness re my sister and brother, not good news for my brother, they think he may need a triple bypass , will find out on Monday.
