the great escape

At long last we got to leave our flat again. It was a joy to walk a longer distance than from the bedroom to the living room and back to the kitchen even though it rained a little. Resupplied ourselves with coffee beans and bread. Got the hire car and left for North Berwick. Even though we took a car we ended up parking at the train station. We went for a lovely walk along the beach - the first time this year we made it to North Berwick. On the way back we stopped at the Longniddrie Bents car park for another walk and to get some tasty fish and chips. We were also treated to a most spectacular sunset (see extra). Even the boys were impressed.

We finished off the evening with a virtual New Model Army gig. It's their 40th anniversary. I've been a fan for the 30 years and I don't know how often I have seen them live. It was strange to see a live virtual concert and I certainly missed the crowds. Still better than nothing. They did play a fantastic set.
