Double Feature

Say “hello” to the red-breasted nuthatch! There are two nuthatches native to Maine, and you met the other yesterday. Today’s nuthatch is slightly smaller and has an eye stripe. Ironically I saw one for the first time just a few days ago, and thrilled to finally photograph one this morning! Woo-hoo!! • It’s a bright, sunny day but quite brisk and much cooler than it has been. Truthfully we’ve been spoiled because today is the way it should feel for the last week of October • Our once weekly Happy Hour is now every two weeks, on Sunday afternoons, to accommodate changing schedules. So today is the day, and it should come as no surprise that I’m looking forward to a tall G&T :) • Cheers to you all!
