The Beatles slept here
We get a free upgrade to the suite used by the Beatles in their 1964 Scottish tour- (see extra). Ever since they became a world famous phenomenon, the Roman Camp hotel in Callander have cashed in on their fame.
By a sheer fluke we are offered the suite- twice the price of an ordinary room, because of the pandemic there are only six guests and we are two of them.
Naturally we are delighted.
So this has been a Covid birthday to remember, especially the silver service breakfast in the bedroom.
