Boom time for books

 
Returned home to find this beautiful bouquet of flowers from my niece and her family in Bath. 


Also, more cards so birthday celebrations continue.
 
Just before leaving Callander I did a quick tour of their charity shops, scooping up an armful of DVDs and books in anticipation of a long dark winter.
So I was not surprised to learn on the radio that publishers are reporting a boom in reading. We are all discovering a slower way of life with time to rediscover the quiet pleasures of curling up with a good book.
