Mullein (Verbascum)

One of the at least four different yellow wild flowers growing on our Land at the moment; autumn really is a second spring here in the Alentejo.

Off to Évora in a bit for Ricardo's birthday meal...

Gratefuls:
- making seven jars of marmalade from two kilos of our oranges, for croissants on Sunday mornings - found an easy Portuguese recipe where you slice the oranges, cook, and then whizz with the wand instead of spending hours slicing the skin - had no white sugar, so used brown, and whisky instead of water, tastes great!
- Mike sorting the chain saw, and cutting up firewood
- the prospect of an evening with good friends
