Whisper ............

 ........... Wednesday  -  here he is coming back into the house after his morning "duties".    
Those duties are not just 'natural' ones but also the top-speed, tail-up, hackles-up perimeter check for cats, rats, mice, birds or anything that he believes should not be in HIS garden!!
He sets off from the kitchen so fast that the backdoor mat usually ends up almost across the other side of the room and you can actually hear his feet thundering across the grass.    
He's much more leisurely coming back in.
